The Bucknell University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) presented its annual "Charles H. Coder" Leadership in Entrepreneurial Excellence Award earlier this month to David Myers, Secretary of the University and Executive Director of Government and Foundation Relations of Bucknell University.

Senator John Gordner (R-27), who was the 2010 recipient of the award, presented the distinction to Mr. Myers during a ceremony held by the SBDC.

Mr. Myers was selected for his support for the Small Business Development Centers.

The award honors Professor Charles Coder, who along with other visionary members of the Bucknell University administration, originally established the guidance of the Bucknell SBDC in 1978.  Charles Coder is remembered for his vision and drive in establishing the SBDC network in Pennsylvania as a way to serve local businesses while providing opportunities for students and faculty to enhance their academic experience.
