Scranton SBDC and Director Nominated for Sage Awards

The annual Sage Awards (Scranton's Award for Growth and Excellence) is the product of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and MetroAction's collaborative efforts. The awards recognize exceptionally talented and innovative businesses and individuals, particularly ones that attempt to improve the quality of life in their local neighborhood. The University of Scranton SBDC and its director, Lisa Hall, were each nominated for a Sage Award.

The Scranton SBDC is a finalist in the Best Business Practices in Professional Development category and Hall, the Woman of Excellence category. The competition was stiff this year, as over 100 businesses applied. The winners will be announced on November 12th at the Chamber Gala. Presented by Penn Security and Trust, the gala will be held in the Mellow Theater at Lackawanna College. For more information, go to http://scrantonsageawards.com/
