Stan Sheetz to Keynote 16th Annual Duquesne University SBDC Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference

Duquesne University will be hosting the 16th Annual Entrepreneur’s Growth Conference (EGC) this year on Thursday, June 5 in Pittsburgh.

The conference is excited to announce the keynote speaker, Stan Sheetz, current Chairman of the Board (former president and CEO) of Sheetz, Inc., who will speak to attendees during the luncheon. Stan’s father, Bob Sheetz, founded the successful family-owned company in 1952, and Stan had been president ever since 1995. Sheetz, Inc., which started off as a small dairy store in Altoona, now has well over 400 convenience stores that span over six states and is still continuing to grow.

The event brings together hundreds of businesspeople from all over Western Pennsylvania. No matter what stage your business is in, the EGC conference allows its attendees to gain insight on the latest strategies and resources in technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the rest of the day, participants can choose from dozens of expert-led workshops that provide a diverse education on a wide-array of topics. A few of the workshops for this year include “Tales from the Road: Inspiring Stories from Well-Traveled Entrepreneurs,” “To the Scenic Route: Videos & Images to Power Your Marketing Motor,” and “The Unbeaten Path: 20 New & Great Ideas for Your Next Business.”

The EGC’s Business Building Tradeshow concludes the day, housing more than 50 organizations that offer products and services geared toward helping businesses prosper.
