Business Continuity Workshops for Small Business Owners Planned for Wilkes-Barre & Wysox

The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) are continuing to partner with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Recovery Resources Team to hold Disaster Recovery Workshops across the Commonwealth for small- and medium-sized businesses.  Business owners are encouraged to attend upcoming two upcoming business resiliency events being held in Bradford and Luzerne Counties in June.  The first workshop will be held on June 23 in Wysox, and the second on June 24 in Wilkes-Barre. 

Attendees will be able to learn about grant and funding information available after declared disasters and will be provided valuable information on disaster recovery for small businesses. The workshop will provide current information on the Pennsylvania Recovery Resources Team, Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery grants and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, as well as updates on Biggert-Waters 12 (National Flood Insurance Program). 

Organizations that will be present include the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers, and Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance. 

Each workshop is free of charge to business owners, more information on each workshop is below.

The Pennsylvania SBDC provides ongoing Business Continuity and Survival Services to small businesses through funding by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
