Dr. Kevin J. Roth
Director
Dr. Kevin J. Roth joined the Clarion University Small Business Development Center in August of 2010. Dr. Roth is responsible for oversight and directing the assignment and coordination of the SBDC staff and its operations. Dr. Roth holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Marketing and Strategic Planning, M.B.A. from Clarion University and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University.

Lucy Ames
Business Outreach Consultant
Lucy has over 31 years of experience serving the State System of Higher Education. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and began working for IUP in 1979. Over the years, Lucy has attained tremendous experience in senior management having been a Director of Business, Industry and Labor for IUP; a Dean of Adult and Continuing Education and Director of the University Foundation for Edinboro University of Pennsylvania; and a Business Consultant for Clarion University of Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center. Lucy meets with clients at the Clarion University SBDC main office and at outreach locations within Elk and Jefferson counties.

Paige Elkin
Entrepreneurial Leadership Center Coordinator
Paige completed a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and her specialty is Finance. Paige was previously employed by the Clarion University Small Business Development Center as a graduate student. She worked with clients in various industries and has assisted clients with preparing comprehensive business plans. Paige now works with high school and college students educating them on entrepreneur related topics.

Kate Hall
Business Outreach Consultant
Kate Hall is an outreach business consultant with the Small Business Development Center at Clarion University. Kate holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio, and her specialty is financial management. Her undergraduate major is Banking and Finance, and was graduated from West Liberty State College in West Virginia. Kate has been a consultant for the SBDC since June 2001, and works primarily in the Clarion and Armstrong County regions.

Amy Keth
Business Outreach Consultant
Amy Keth has been a business consultant with the Clarion University SBDC since July 2004. The counties that she serves include Forest, McKean, and Venango providing free, confidential one-on-one consulting to current or prospective small business owners. She is a Clarion University graduate, earning a bachelor's degree in Finance.

Cindy Nellis
Assistant Director
Cindy Nellis has been with the Clarion University SBDC since September 1996. She is responsible for assisting with program development, evaluation and reporting, budgeting, human resources, public relations, and coordinating training programs. Prior to joining the SBDC, Cindy worked in the banking industry for 10 years. She graduated from The Ohio State University, earning a bachelor's degree in finance.

Corry Riley
Business Outreach Consultant
Corry Riley received an undergraduate degree in accounting from Clarion University. He then went on to receive his MBA from Clarion University in May of 2005 and at that time accepted a full-time position as an outreach business consultant for the Clarion University SBDC. Prior to joining the SBDC, Corry worked in the auto industry as a sales person and assistant sales manager. He also has experience as a tax-preparer.

Matt Sopher
Computer/Business Analyst
Matt joined the Clarion University Small Business Development Center in August of 1984 as a graduate assistant while working towards his Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Matt assists the Clarion University Small Business Development Center consultants with small business research, consulting tools, and complex financial analysis.

Nancy Weaver
Assistant Budget Director
Nancy processes all necessary budget transactions, invoices, etc. She assists clients and counselors to obtain various types of business information requested.
