Celeste L. Corrado

As Director of the Wharton SBDC, Ms. Corrado is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the Center, supporting regional start-ups and high growth companies in building their businesses, managing all aspects of client recruitment, designing student consultant training and education, collaborating with the Pennsylvania SBDC lead office on statewide goals, and spearheading grant administration, fundraising and regional stakeholder outreach and communication.

Prior to arriving at Wharton, Ms. Corrado ran her own consulting practice, Vizeon Solutions. Previous to Vizeon she was employed by Lockheed Martin Corporation as Senior Strategy & Innovation Lead for New Ventures where she was responsible for launching and leading a commercial venture incubator.  Corrado has also served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs.

She holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and an MS in Information Systems from Drexel University. Corrado is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Management Consultant and an accomplished Speaker on the topics of Strategy, Technology Development and Innovation.

Kelly Hughes-Reid joined the Wharton Small Business Development Center in 2009. Kelly is the Business Manager and provides financial management of the center.  Prior to the Wharton SBDC, Kelly was at a social services non-profit, KenCrest Services, and in Contract Administration at Comcast Business Communications. Kelly is currently working towards her Executive MBA at Saint Joseph’s University.

Erin McGowan joined the Wharton Small Business Development Center in 2007.  As Associate Director, Erin supports entrepreneurs and small business owners in starting and growing their businesses through an integrated program of educational workshops, information and individual and group consulting. Prior to the Wharton SBDC, Erin was at a New York City-based non-profit, Housing Works, and in Corporate Services at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Erin has a Master’s Degree in in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.

John is owner of The Ondik Group, a management consulting firm which has been advising businesses and government in a variety of strategy, operations and business development efforts since 2003.  He teaches courses in strategic business planning at the Wharton Small Business Development Center, where he also Program Executive of the Business Building consulting program, leading a team of Wharton MBA students in advising SBDC’s clients.

John served as the Director of US Operations for SRS Energy, a solar roofing technology start-up which raised $8 million; as Vice President of Military Services for Aramark, where he started and led a new business venture focused the military market; National Director of Purchasing for KPMG, a position John created; and as the first Director of Marketing and Business Development for Arthur Andersen’s Philadelphia Business Consulting practice.

Previously, he was a consulting manager at both KPMG and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting; a consultant at the Wharton Small Business Development Center (where he was honored by the Bernard Foundation as the Best Consultant in a Small Business Development Center), and an Executive in Residence at The Science Center, a leading business incubator (where he was the 2005 Executive in Residence of the Year). John began his career with the US Navy and is retired from the US Navy Supply Corps Reserve. He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Business Administration from Villanova.
