CMC: Accounting

This module is not available as a stand alone course as it is part of a series that entails a $2500 fee. This course will provide an overview of the methods of accounting that are available to construction companies and independent contractors such as cash, accrual, completed contract, and exempt percentage of completion. The goal of this course is not to prepare contractors to become accountants but rather to give them the tools that will help business owners understand the operations of their business from a financial perspective. This will in turn enable construction owners and contractors plan for and make informed decisions based on performance. Attendees will be able to plan and develop financial budgets that will enable them to manage, fund and finance construction projects. The course is ideal for construction project managers, independent contractors engaged in the construction industry, technically skilled workers engaged in various trades, apprentices, and adult construction workers.
