The Pennsylvania SBDCs depend on continued federal and state funding to offer its services to constituents of the 12th DistrictIndependent research finds that Pennsylvania SBDC clients generate $3.09 in tax revenue for every $1 of federal funding the SBDC receives. Below are the most recent results for the 12th district.

NATIONAL IMPACT

The Pennsylvania SBDC is an accredited member of America’s Small Business Development Center Network. Hosted by leading universities, colleges and state economic development agencies, and funded in part through a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, approximately 1,000 service centers are available nationwide to provide no-cost business consulting and low-cost training.   

Every federal dollar invested in SBDCs in 2013-14 created $2.31 in federal revenue and $3.17 in state revenue.  Additional information on America’s SBDC can be found below:

STATEWIDE PRESENCE

The Pennsylvania Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) are the only statewide, nationally accredited program that provides high quality one-on-one consulting, training and information resources to empower new and existing businesses.  The SBDC program is a public/private partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and 18 universities and colleges across the Commonwealth.
