Trader SitesTurn trash to treasure: the Pennsylvania SBDC offers this tool to help businesses, industries, and institutions save resources and money by searching for available and wanted materials online. MaterialTrader.org conserves energy, resources, and landfill space by helping businesses and organizations find alternatives to the disposal of valuable materials or wastes.
Responding to interest from the small business community, the Pennsylvania SBDC recently launched a new free online biomass exchange, the Pennsylvania Biomass Trader. Part of the network of biomasstrader.org, the exchange will provide an open marketplace for the exchange of biomass materials derived from plant material, vegetation or agricultural waste. We hope the new site will stimulate and promote the use and reuse of biomass materials. In addition to composting biomass material, other uses include the conversion of biomass to fuel for alternative energy production.
Got crap? The Pennsylvania Manure Trader website is a free resource intended to facilitate the beneficial use of excess manure. Post both wanted and available listings, similar to a classified ad section. Farmers and other manure producers can list their available manure by type, quantity, frequency of availability, geographic location, and date listed. Users can post detailed wanted listings, specifying the amount of manure they need, the frequency, and what use the manure must be suitable for (e.g. composting, energy production, mine reclamation, building material, etc.). |
