NovaTech, LLC designs and manufactures power communication and industrial automation equipment. The company has over 30 years of experience with a global presence and thousands of systems installed in 50 different countries.
The Lehigh University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) International Program has been working with Jeff Lindtner, VP with NovaTech for the past three years. Although NovaTech has seen successes globally through their present U.S. customers, Jeff came to the SBDC to work with the Pennsylvania trade representatives to try and develop new markets, particularly in Brazil. Jeff’s first trip to Brazil was in the fall of 2010, and he utilized both the U.S. Department of Commerce Gold Key Service as well as the Pennsylvania trade representative office in Brazil. He was successful with making some strong contacts, and had a representative from Belo come to visit the plant. Since that time, they’ve worked to strengthen their relationships with their partners in Brazil, and when the Governor’s trade mission to Brazil was announced this year, NovaTech was one of the first to sign on, utilizing Global Access Program funding through the Lehigh SBDC.
The result of that trip has been the establishment of a joint marketing alliance with Grupo SCR to bring NovaTech’s automation technology to the Brazilian market. This will broaden the company’s international operations in South America.
